About Us
A Cider Experience
Our urban vision was so clear we had a name before we had a home. We searched the city high and low for the best location to set up shop, and every property we saw had a chain link fence wrapped around it. After searching the city we said: “when will we find our own chain yard?” Finally, we found our home at North and Agricola where FRED salon’s legacy and Scotiabank’s vaults remind us of the building’s foundations. The name was set…Chain Yard Urban Cidery.
Foundation
A hand picked blend of Nova Scotian apples. This is our Foundation. Pressed in the Annapolis Valley and slow fermented in Halifax. This cider is aromatic, balanced and semi-dry with subtle tannins. We only use 100% fresh local juice and we never, ever use concentrate. We simply polish that pure apple flavour.

Stop by our taproom to enjoy flights or pints of our cider, plus other great local ciders along with Nova Scotia craft beer and wine. The menu at Unchained Kitchen is always changing, serving creative Nova Scotia food.
